Leroy Springs and Company is a non-profit organization. Our philosophy is to provide recreational activities not otherwise available in the communities that we serve. It is our goal to make these services available as economically as possible, so that every member of the community may take part. The programs and facilities are open to anyone living or working in Lancaster County, Fort Mill Township, Chester Township and surrounding counties in South Carolina. We embrace persons of all ages, occupations, races and economic levels. Our most important function is operating the facilities and programs that are offered to the community. Participants range from toddlers, children, teens, men, women to senior citizens. All ages are well represented in teams sports and hobby activities. Since Leroy Springs is concerned with making recreational facilities available to the low wage earner, some fees are based on a graduated scale according to income. Discounted rates are offered for family membership. Fees for activities are typically much lower than rates at recreational facilities operated on a for profit basis. We cooperate with local municipal recreational departments in carrying out our philosophy of providing recreational activities not otherwise available. This relieves local government of the burden of providing public recreation, as well as offers a more complete range of activities than would be possible through soccer fields, etc… with city-supported teams and local schools sharing their gymnasiums for company-sponsored basketball programs. In keeping with our policy of enriching local recreational resources, the company avoids duplication of services which local government provides, unless communities demonstrate the need for expansion of programs. Most importantly, Leroy Springs' programs fill a genuine need in the communities we serve. As long as we continue to receive such enthusiastic response, Leroy Springs and Company will continue to innovate and expand.
